However, an Indian fishing with a commercial Indian card cannot legally
fish south of the 45th parallel). |

has allowed commercial fishing on inside waters in the Finger Lakes Area. |
Regulations:
Moratorium on commercial Yelow Perch fishing on Lake Michigan. No commercial
Yellow Perch fishing on inside waters of Michigan. Must use trap net to
commercial fish in Michigan Great Lakes (Exception: Large mesh nets are
allowed for the fishing of trash fish - (Carp, Quill Fins, Suckers, Catfish,
etc). |

Location:
The Yellow Fin Tuna is a fish of tropical waters with production coming from both the atlantic and pacific oceans. The Gulf of Mexico is also an area of high production. This fish is also called Ahi by the Hawaiians. |

| Atlantic Salmon

Location:
This Fish is the number 1 farming salmon. This fish is farmed in Europe, North America, South America and Asia. This fish is indigenous to the North Atlantic Ocean, both in Europe and Eastern Canada, and the Northeast United States. This fish is a good candidate for being farmed as this specie does not die after spawning. |
Regulations:
The farming of the Atlantic Salmon is allowed 52 weeks a year, and this allows the prices to be stable throughout the year. |
| Whitefish

Location:
Caught in 5 of the great lakes, and canadian inland lakes. |
Regulations:
Can only legally be done 11 months of the year in the American side of the border of the Great Lakes. The month of November is closed in America to the harvesting of Whitefish. Due to Canadian Laws, during November, it is available to us from Canada. |
| Crappie

Location:
Production of Crappies comes mostly from Lake Ontario. This fish is not legal in some areas. Production is also from Saginaw Bay. During Springtime, you will see the greatest number of these fish being caught. As the waters in the lake warm, the fishing of crappies will produce fewer fish, both black and white crappies will be mixed and sold as "crappies". |
